£25 for you and £25 for your friend

A small group of WhiskyInvestDirect users has been invited to trial this tell-a-friend offer.

If you have been invited to trial this offer, we have sent you an email with the subject line: £25 for you and £25 for your friends who invest in whisky.

In this email you were provided with a unique link to send to your friends.

For every friend that uses your unique link to open a WhiskyInvestDirect account and then buys at least 300 LPA of maturing Scotch costing £1,000 or more we will credit your account and your friends account with a cash reward of £25 each.

You and your friends can use this cash to buy maturing Scotch.

You can share your unique link with as many friends as you wish, and you will receive £25 for each friend that qualifies.

The closing date for your friends to buy their qualifying whisky will be 31 August 2020.

Terms & conditions of this offer

This offer is for selected users only. You acknowledge that WhiskyInvestDirect's standard terms and conditions apply.

To receive the £25 cash reward as a referrer, you must:

  • Be a WhiskyInvestDirect user and have been selected to participate;
  • Be able to login to your account;
  • Be able to receive email notifications & news;
  • Have had a friend use your unique link to open an account and then for that friend to have bought at least 300 LPA of whisky costing at least £1000 before 31 August 2020.

There is no limit to the number of friends that can use your unique link to open a WhiskyInvestDirect account, but you must not refer your own accounts, those of your spouse or accounts linked to your validated bank details and your friends must adhere to the terms and conditions.

To receive the one-off £25 cash reward as a friend, you must:

  • Use your friends unique link to open a WhiskyInvestDirect account;
  • Buy at least 300 LPA of whisky costing at least £1000 before 31 August 2020;
  • Be able to login to your account;
  • Be able to receive email notifications & news;
  • Not be married to or living at the same address as your referring friend;
  • Validate your account within 2 weeks of purchasing whisky.

All recipients of the £25 cash reward will be notified by email within 5 working days after the end of the month in which the qualifying requirements were met.

Just as with the existing referrer programme we will not share referee details with referrers.

This offer ends 31 August 2020.

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend this offer, at any time, without notice. Anyone abusing this promotional offer will not be eligible for any cash reward under its terms. WhiskyInvestDirect terms and conditions continue to apply.

The importance of cookies to ensure that we can reward you and your friends.

  • You understand a prospective user coming to WhiskyInvestDirect via your unique link may not register an account during that visit. In order to track these prospects, WhiskyInvestDirect will seek to place a 2-month cookie on their computer system, identifying you as the referrer.
  • You understand that this can only happen where (i) the prospect chooses to accept our cookies and cookie policy (ii) it is allowed by the browser settings, and (ii) no pre-existing equivalent cookie referencing another referrer would be replaced.
  • You accept that the existence of a pre-existing cookie will cause that referrer to benefit by commission sharing instead of you.  You acknowledge that you understand that sometimes you will benefit from this policy - where you are in fact the first referrer - and sometimes you will lose out - where you are a second or subsequent referrer. 
  • You acknowledge that the expiry or removal of the cookie on a referred customer's machine within two months of the referral (during which time the prospect has neither registered nor visited the WhiskyInvestDirect site) causes the cookie containing your referrer id to be expunged.
  • You acknowledge that housekeeping utilities in use by the visitor may cause the cookie to be expunged before the time period is up, and that in this event WhiskyInvestDirect is not expected to identify you as the first referrer.
